Register your Tax ID

In accordance with global indirect laws (VAT / GST), Amazon may be required to calculate and collect VAT / GST on its advertising fees. Applicable taxes shall be calculated on your fees in accordance with the information provided in your account at the time of invoicing, including your business address and tax registration information.

Tax numbers are required for addresses in certain countries.

If you've established your business in a country with VAT / GST or equivalent indirect tax system and have a VAT / GST or equivalent registration number, please provide this information to Amazon in your advertiser account.

If you're a vendor or an author, please provide this information in the advertising console:

  1. Go to Billing and Payments and select the Payment Settings tab.
  2. In the Account details section, enter your Value Added Tax (VAT)/ Goods and Services Tax (GST) Registration number.
If you're a seller on Amazon, please provide this information in Seller Central:
  1. Go to Seller Central > Account Info.
  2. Select VAT Information > Add new VAT/GST Registration number.
If you're an Amazon DSP advertiser, please provide this information in the Amazon DSP console:
  1. Click Administration button in the left navigation and select Account access and settings.
  2. Select Entity settings and navigate to the Billing information section to enter your VAT registration number.
  3. Amazon DSP advertisers: If you’re advertising in Canada but have a business address located outside of Canada, you must provide Amazon with your Canada GST number, if registered.
Note: Please ensure that the tax registration number provided corresponds with your business address.

You'll find details of applicable taxes in the Tax line in the summary section at the bottom of your invoice.
